Parent Classroom Visits, Tours or Observations Policy
In accordance with Arizona law, parents of students enrolled at the Tucson International Academy and parents that are interested of enrolling student(s) may request to visit, tour, or observe their child's classroom, subject to the following parameters:
- All campus visit requests must be received by the Corporate Office (2700 W. Broadway Blvd. (520)792-3255) at least 24 hours in advance of the proposed campus visit of interest.
- Campus visit request will be reviewed by the school Superintendent and Principal of the campus of interest.
- Campus visit requests will be approved unless they threate to interfere with the physical, social, emotional, safety or if it disrupts the educational environment.
- All campus visits are by appointment only, with prior approval.
- Once approved the visitor will be always accompanied by a TIA employee.
- All visitors must abide by all school rules and policies per our Parent and Student Handbook.
- Appropriate dressed attire is required at all times.
- Approved campus visits will be scheduled at a mutually convenient time for the school and the parents, and may be limited to a specific time frame, at the school's discretion.
- Visitor bag(s) must be clear or left at front desk.
Visitors to schools may not take photographs, video recordings, or audio recordings during their visit. All visitors must follow safety requirements by providing identification and signing in and out of the campus with a TIA employee. No visitor shall carry or posses a weapon, explosive device, knife (with a blade of 2 ½ inches or more) or any other dangerous or illegal instrument on District-owned premises.
This policy is to promote a healthy educational environment and well being of all students and staff of Tucson International Academy. Failure to follow and adhere to this policy, will result in revocation of school visits and possibly not permitted on District-owned premises. Unauthorized persons shall not loiter on district property at any time.
